The Rotary motto is “Service Above Self.”
The Rotary Club of Sacramento is an association of business and community leaders serving the Sacramento region and enriching the professional and personal lives of our members.
Our mission is to be of service – in the community, in the workplace, and throughout the world. Rotary members and volunteers build goodwill and peace, provide humanitarian service, and encourage high ethical standards in all vocations.
We are a non-political and non-sectarian organization open to all people. We look for opportunities to put “Service Above Self,” which is the main guiding principle for all Rotarians. We warmly welcome you to come to one of our Tuesday luncheon meetings and meet some of the business and community leaders who comprise our Club.

- Multiple literacy projects, including the annual Dictionary Distribution to local third graders and the High School Speech Contest;
- A unique local Youth Incentive Program with Rotarians providing mentoring and support to at-risk youth in graduating high school;
- Six academic Scholarships for high school students; and,
- Multiple ongoing local service projects, including our Paint the Town project, which benefited the Volunteers of America Northern California & Northern Nevada by helping to renovate low-income military veterans’ housing, and volunteering at Loaves and Fishes to help provide meals to Sacramento homeless.
