Weekly Meetings
- Greeters – Welcome members and guests
- Wine Reception Sponsors – Provide and pour wine at meetings
- Piano/Music – Play piano at meetings
- Meeting Sponsors – Businesses or organizations can sponsor meetings
- Thought for the Day – Provide short inspirational talks at meetings
Communication
- Pulse Newsletter Reporter- Report on meeting happenings
- Rotary International Blogger– Create articles to engage Rotarian’s around the world
- Social Media Ambassador – Post Rotary updates on social media
- Cell Phone Photographer – Take informal pictures during Club events
- Website – Assist office staff in keeping Club website up-to-date
Club Service
- Member Recognition – Keep track of Rotarians being recognized in the community
- One Day Community Service Projects, aka “Paint The Town” – Beautify our community by working on various, hands-on local projects
Community Service
- Academic Scholarships – Evaluate applications, choose recipients and present awards
- Blood Drive – Give blood to meet local needs
- High School Speech Contest – Serve as a judge for the Annual Rotary Speech Contest
- Loaves and Fishes- Prepare and serve meals for local homeless
- Rotary Foreign Exchange Students – Coordinate high school foreign exchange students
- Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) – Locate potential candidates for awards
- International Service – Write grant applications for projects
- Youth Incentive Program (YIP) – Serve as a mentor to an at-risk youth and support them in graduating from high school and college
- Community Grants – Review grant requests for funding
- Service Above Self Award – Honor local law enforcement officers who have distinguished themselves and gone above and beyond the call of duty
Literacy
- Literacy – Work on a variety of literacy driven community programs
- Reading Partners – Volunteer one hour a week in a local elementary school to read to and mentor student
- Dictionary Distribution – Distribute dictionaries to local 3rd graders
- Walk 4 Literacy – Walk to support the Sacramento Public Library Foundation each October
Membership
- Compassion – Reach out to Club members who are ill or have lost someone close to them
- Membership Recruitment – Help recruit new members
- Member Retention – Reach out to members to offer support
- New Member – Orient and serve as a mentor to a new member
- Young Professionals – Organize recruitment events to recruit young professionals
Themed Meetings
- Armed Forces Day – Honor Armed Forces members and their families at a meeting
- Brown Bag Days – Host a workplace Brown Bag lunch meeting
- Daughters’ Day – Plan Daughters’ Day – Event occurs annually in December
- Sons’ Day – Plan Sons’ Day – Event occurs annually in the summer
Fundraising Community Events
- Sacramento Century Challenge – Event occurs annually in October
- Golf 4 Kids – Event occurs annually in the spring
- Dive Bar Fundraiser
Small Group Meetings
- Fireside Meetings – Coordinate meetings in Club member homes
- Mystery Trip – Coordinate an annual trip to a surprise destination
- Networking Nights – Coordinate meetings at local bars and restaurants
- Ski Trip – Coordinate an annual trip to a local ski resort
- Softball Team – Play on the Sacramento Rotary Club team
- Dinner/Theater Nights – Coordinate local social outings
