Since it was the NFL’s opening weekend, President Bobby Reed decided to have a little football fun. His 49ers against all comers. The bet? Winner pays $50 to the loser’s Eddie Mulligan. The takers: PP Bob Miller (Los Angeles Rams); PP Todd Koolakian (Dallas Cowboys); Dennis Cook (Chicago Bears); David Brandenburger (New England Patriots); Rick Osen (Minnesota Vikings).
Tom Bacon’s Thought for the Day led off with a joke: “I am trying to be more healthy, so I started the Whiskey Diet…I’ve already lost 3 days.” Three key things that have transformed Tom’s life. #1 is Rotary! #2 is reading “Art of Happiness,” imploring others to treat everyone with respect and equally. And #3 is reading “Untethered Soul,” which has helped him make deliberate choices.
